Being a teacher has always been my passion and privilege in life. I was so fortunate to have had the most wonderful teachers growing up and I couldn’t think of a better way to honor them than to become a teacher and have the opportunity to inspire and make a difference for students. I have had that privilege for the last thirty years which has taken me to all parts of the United States and Korea.The three years that my family and I spent in Korea from 1987-1990 was the beginning of teaching English as a Second. When I had the opportunity to teach for Talkbean after retiring as a classroom ESL teacher, I was so excited to be able to reconnect with Korean students and help them reach their goals of achieving English language proficiency.

Not only have I had the honor of teaching English for Talkbean but I was able to channel my passion and creativity by becoming an Education Specialist and help develop the new Intensive Speaking Course with the Talkbean staff. It has been wonderful to meet and train tutors who are teaching this course and know that you are all a part of the success of our students in reaching English Oral Language Proficiency.

I am amazed at where my journey has taken me and find that I still have the same passion for teaching today as I did when I began thirty years ago. I look forward to continuing my journey with Talkbean and learning and growing as a teacher to help students fulfill their future goals.
